The non-profit National Association of Retired Employees is an advocacy group that serves its members, many of which are retired military. Upon learning of the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial project, the Association unanimously decided to support it through the donation of $1,000 as they felt it was a project of extreme importance and significance. Here, from left, 2nd Vice President Hugh Mackay & President Terry Bremner of the National Association of Retired Employees present a cheque to Mayor Williams for the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial project.

How can Canadians give to help build the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial? Please join all Canadians coast to coast who have already been giving to this Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial Fund. This is not a government initiative, but solely funded by Canadians honoring Canadian soldiers. Individuals, companies and organizations are all welcome to contribute to the fund to complete the $1.5 million dollar project. Donations, no matter how small, will make this a reality.
